The missions of the Coalition are the following:

  • Provide a complementary political leadership and commitment to champion HIV/AIDS issues from national to kebele levels;
  • Apply trans formative methodologies in its work, to address the root cause of the epidemic such as societal norms, values, attitudes and work with the community to identify culturally viable solutions;

Mission

The missions of the Coalition are the following:

  • Provide a complementary political leadership and commitment to champion HIV/AIDS issues from national to kebele levels;
  • Apply trans formative methodologies in its work, to address the root cause of the epidemic such as societal norms, values, attitudes and work with the community to identify culturally viable solutions;
  • Fight HIV/AIDS by addressing the gender and gender related issues which fuel the epidemic and work towards the economic and political empowerment of women.
  • Address poverty as both the underlying cause and consequence of HIV/AIDS.
  • Use women and men as inclusive partners that would advocate for gender equality, traditional and cultural related causes to address HIV/AIDS.
